Chris Lewis graduated from Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law, University of Memphis in the Spring of 2012, was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in the Fall of 2012 and was admitted to the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in the Winter of 2014. Chris Lewis currently is an active participant in Memphis Area Legal Services Saturday Clinic, providing free general legal advice.
During Law School Chris Lewis worked as a legal extern with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”), worked as a student attorney with the Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law, Elder Law Clinic and was a participant in the Law School’s Alternative Spring Break, Pro Se Divorce Clinic. Also, during law school Chris Lewis spent a summer semester, through the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, in Italy studying International Contracting, International Sales of Goods and attended a class on the History of the Supreme Court of the United States taught by Chief Justice Roberts.
Prior to law school, Chris Lewis began his undergraduate studies at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland. In January of 2002, Chris Lewis joined the United States Regular Army as a medic. Subsequently, Chris Lewis was medically discharged from the military as the result of his service-connected disability. Chris Lewis then resumed his undergraduate degree at the University of Memphis, Fogelman College of Business and graduated Cum Laude.
