Elissa M. Fitzmartin obtained her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2012. During law school, Ms. Fitzmartin was a member of the Moot Court Board and the National Security and Armed Conflict Law Review. She also earned several merit awards, including the Dean’s List, the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement in Family Law, and the George David Gold Scholarship for excellence in criminal law. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Fitzmartin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.Ms. Fitzmartin began her legal career practicing criminal defense and personal injury. She also has experience representing doctors and healthcare clinics in lawsuits to recover personal injury protection benefits.
