Katie Hinojosa has called Arkansas home for her entire life. She was raised in Monticello and moved to Jonesboro to attend Arkansas State University. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, Katie moved to Little Rock where she received her Juris Doctorate from the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
After law school, Katie went to work as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. During her six and a half years as a Prosecuting Attorney, she has litigated a wide variety of felony cases in the circuit, district, and juvenile courts but spent most of that time advocating for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Pulaski County.
