Rachel E. Cohen is the leading advocate and chair of NST’s Social Security Advocacy Practice Group. She grew up in Akron, Ohio and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Akron. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice and received the “Undergraduate Sociology Student of the Year” award. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated cum laude. In law school, she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Environmental Law.
Ms. Cohen is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Tennessee. Prior to joining Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz, she worked with a disability law firm based out of Wakefield, Massachusetts. She moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 2010 and has since made a home for herself in this community. She joined Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz in 2013. Ms. Cohen is currently a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and the Memphis Bar Association.
