Shannon D. Elsea has, for the last 20+ years, dedicated his entire practice to helping people who were injured by the negligence of others. He is a veteran of over 100 jury trials as a first chair litigator, as well as thousands of mediations and negotiations on his clients’ behalf.
Shannon graduated from Christian Brother’s University cum laude in 1992, and he graduated from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1995. During Shannon’s career, he has worked with the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility as a Hearing Officer, and he has served as a Special Judge in Shelby County General Session Court.
As an attorney, Shannon has observed the very real issue of concussions and closed head injuries suffered by people in motor vehicle accidents. Knowing how to identify and document those injuries has become a focus of Shannon’s handling of injury claims. “We see the effects of these injuries in our servicemen and women coming back from overseas, as well as on the football field — these injuries are very real.” It is important to look carefully to make sure these long-term, life-altering injuries are documented for people who have been in a serious car accident.
Shannon, while not born in Memphis, has lived in Memphis longer than he has lived anywhere, and he considers it to be Home. Shannon loves Graceland and has toured the hallowed halls of the king’s home over 10 times. Shannon is active in community theater in the greater Memphis area both on stage as an actor and as a director. Working with youth in theater is something Shannon finds to be very rewarding. “Theater gives young people a great amount of self-confidence, and it helps them throughout their lives.” Shannon is a fan of the Memphis Grizzlies, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Chicago Cubs.
