Steven Saharovici is a Memphis, Tennessee native. Mr. Saharovici played varsity tennis and varsity golf in high school. After graduating from Christian Brothers High School in 2013, Mr. Saharovici earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics at the University of Missouri. At Missouri, he served as President of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Eager to return to his hometown after completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Saharovici enrolled in the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. During law school, Mr. Saharovici pursued many opportunities to serve the Memphis community through law. He worked for a local criminal defense firm as a law clerk. There, he worked on both state and federal cases, drafted motions, and prepared documents for trial. Mr. Saharovici also served as a student attorney for the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Neighborhood Preservation Legal Clinic. In this role, he drafted and filed civil warrants against blighted properties throughout Memphis and made weekly court appearances to advocate on behalf of the City of Memphis in numerous environmental court matters. Mr. Saharovici was involved with the Shelby County Eviction Settlement Program, where he negotiated and reached settlement agreements to discharge past due rent on behalf of low-income tenants in Shelby County, Tennessee. While in law school, Mr. Saharovici won the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for ADR, Negotiation and Mediation as well as for the Neighborhood Preservation Legal Clinic. He was also on the Dean’s List for Outstanding Oral Advocate and won Top 5 Oral Advocate in the Freshman Moot Court Competition.
