William A. Volet joined Ginnis & Krathen, P.A., in February 2020 as a litigation attorney with experience in the areas of personal injury, auto and trucking negligence, wrongful death, complex civil litigation, product liability, and toxic torts. Will has successfully represented major corporations, insurance companies, product manufacturers, trucking and logistics providers, and individuals in several civil cases from inception through trial. Will began his legal career in the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office where he was a member of the Homicide Unit, the Career Criminal and Robbery Unit, the Traffic Homicide Unit, and was selected to join the Economic Crimes Unit prior to his departure. Throughout his tenure at the State Attorney’s Office, Will tried over thirty cases to verdict. He gained extensive courtroom experience, ultimately prosecuting homicides, armed robberies, and white-collar crimes. After several years at the State Attorney’s Office, Will transitioned to civil practice working for prominent national and statewide civil defense firms. He represented several fortune 500 companies and insured parties in wrongful death, products liability, toxic torts, premises liability, and auto and trucking accidents. Will attended Hofstra University School of Law, where he was in the top 15% of his graduating class and was selected for the Dean’s List. He was an Associate Editor for the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal and was selected for publication as a co-author for the article, “The First Prongs Effect on the Docket: How the Second Circuit Should Modify the McDonnell Douglas Framework in Title VII Reverse Discrimination Claims,” published in Volume 30. At Hofstra, Will was also a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
