Paul is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, TN obtaining a BA in 1984. Paul obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1987. While in law school, Paul was a member of the Arkansas Law Review, an honor extended to students based on achievement. He also graduated with honors in the top 10 of his class. After passing the bar exam, Paul joined his father’s law practice in his hometown of Wynne, Arkansas. While practicing in Wynne as a Public Defender, Paul gained his first experience handling capital murder cases. Paul has tried 7 death penalty cases to verdict and has been successful in keeping all of his client’s off death row. Paul was honored to represent Jason Baldwin in the case that is now commonly referred to as the West Memphis 3; a case that has been the subject of multiple books, documentaries, and movies. In 1993, Paul moved his practice to Jonesboro, Arkansas and is the founding member of The Law Offices of Paul Ford. Paul represents clients in catastrophic personal injury cases, medical malpractice, wrongful foreclosure and occasionally, complex domestic matters. Paul continues to represent people who have been accused of criminal conduct to ensure that the rights guaranteed to us all in the Constitution remain inviolate. Paul has always had an intense desire to make a difference in the lives of the people he represents and that has driven Paul to offer the best legal service possible to people when and where they are hurting. So not only did Paul excel in law school, he has continued to devote significant amounts of time to his continuing legal education.
