Pinellas Park Crash Leaves Motorcyclist With Life-Threatening Injuries

Pinellas Park Police responded to a crash involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle at approximately 8:40 p.m. on May 31, 2021. David Hollis, 67, of Pinellas Park, was the driver of the motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The 58-year-old female driver of a 1998 green Ford F150 made a left turn into the parking lot of 9359 US Highway 19. During this time, Felton was able to make her left turn because traffic in the median and middle lane was stopped for other traffic ahead. Hollis was driving a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle north in the curb lane on US Highway 19. In order to avoid an accident, the motorcyclist changed lanes to avoid the truck entering the curb lane. As Hollis changed lanes, he crashed into the front of the truck while in the right turn lane. Investigations are still underway, but investigators say it's not speed or impairment that caused the crash.
