The Florida Highway Patrol has reopened lanes on Gandy Boulevard westbound following an investigation into a fatal crash involving a pedestrian. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 54-year-old man was struck and killed as he walked in front of a westbound Ford truck near San Martin Boulevard early Thursday morning. The crash occurred at 5:53 a.m. As detectives investigate the fatality, traffic continues to be affected.
